Having difficulty using macros in linking a button to prompt me to enter a number variable

I am trying to link a button control in excel 2010 to prompt me to enter a year (that is linked though a url) so that the particular string in the url changes depending on the number I put in. In other words, I am selecting a database that changes accordingly when I change the year variable in the url's string. I need my button, which currently only chooses year 2001, to change the year data when I am prompted for the year to select. This project i due tomorrow. No make up.
