Missing dates in running total

Hi

I have a running total (bank statement) which does not have an entry for every date.
I need a macro that will identify missing dates, insert a row(s) with the missing date and complete the previous dates balance so that I have a balance for every date.
The date is in column e of my spreadsheet.
