use check boxes to populate cells

Hello all here is my use case:

I would like a check box to be connected to a given cell and if the box is checked, I want the text in the cell the check box is attached to, too be populated in another cell. Is this possible?

For example's sake:

A1 has the text "Denied"
If the checkbox that is connected to A1 is checked,
Then K1 will be populated with "Denied"
