Send mail if Excel content is changed

Hi,
Can anyone help me to make a VBA code to send me a mail alert when someone changes the content of an excel sheet which will be placed on server?
The problems are, there should not a prompt to send the mail. And all will be using lotus mail. So the code should work on all default client or atleast outlook.
