Using strings in VBA

Hello helpful people,

Hoping somebody can help me...

I am trying to concatenate a variable range please see sample spreadsheet:Test.xlsx

All that I want to do is concatenate all of the values in list1 and list 2 into 2 strings (one for each list).

I have tried some code found here:

But I could not get this code to work, could somebody direct me to an example of how to use the String function in VBA, I am Google/Forum taught so my experience is very limited so any feedback would be very welcome :)
